NI Webinar – MathWorks Simulink Model Integration for HIL Testing

Integrating models is critical for effective simulation of real-world conditions when performing embedded software tests. Product testing and validation relies on high-fidelity models to recreate physical conditions. However, the relationship between model designers and test engineers can often be complicated due to competing interests and misaligned incentives. By streamlining how test engineers can integrate models into their test assets, they can reduce errors and accelerate development time.

Building a flexible test architecture that can adapt quickly to changing requirements and rapid iteration of controller software can help engineers ensure that they are always able to use the most up-to-date data to conduct validation testing.

Additionally, an ideal test environment would allow engineers to choose where to run those models, either on CPU for easier integration or on FPGA for higher accuracy in timing and synchronization.

This webinar will give an overview of how test engineers can integrate models built in Simulink into their test frameworks using NI’s VeriStand and tools codeveloped between Mathworks and NI.

Attendees will learn how to integrate models of both CPU and FPGA, and walk through the updated process on how to quickly take Simulink IP and run it on FPGA hardware.
