The myRIO Student Embedded Device features I/O on both sides of the device in the form of MXP and MSP connectors. It includes analog inputs, analog outputs, digital I/O lines, LEDs, a push button, an onboard accelerometer, a Xilinx FPGA, and a dual‐core ARM Cortex‐A9 processor. Some models also include WiFi support. You can program the myRIO Student Embedded Device with LabVIEW or C. With its onboard devices, seamless software experience, and library of courseware and tutorials, the myRIO Student Embedded Device provides an affordable tool for students and educators.

My Proto

The Digilent myProto accessory board for the NI myDAQ and NI myRIO brings all your myDAQ/myRIO’s signals to breadboard connections where they can be easily accessed using simple jumper wires, and even adds several useful I/O devices.

The MSP connector on your myDAQ / myRIO provides power (+5 VDC and ±15 VDC) along with eight configurable digital I/O pins, two analog inputs, and two analog outputs. All of these signals are available and clearly labeled on the signal blocks at the top of the breadboard when plugged into the MSP connector.

MyDigital

The Digilent myDigital accessory board for the NI myDAQ and NI myRIO is designed to provide students a cost-effective, portable, and engaging platform for teaching electronics. With a myDAQ / myRIO, NI Multisim, and a myDigital, you’ll have everything needed to allow students to design, construct, and test basic analog and digital designs.

DC Servo myRIO Controls Mechatronics and Robotics Device

The Quanser QUBE-Servo is a high-fidelity DC servo motor for teaching control theory at an undergraduate level with the real-time control capabilities of the myRIO Student Embedded Device. The Quanser QUBE-Servo features a brushed DC motor with an optical encoder to allow students to learn position and velocity control concepts through hands-on experimentation. The Quanser QUBE-Servo includes both Inverted Pendulum and Inertia Disk modules that you can interchange using its quick connect interface.

Pitsco Tetrix Prime for myRIO

NI partnered with Pitsco Education to offer a robotics kit that students can use to apply engineering concepts they learn in the classroom to real controls and robotics systems. Combining myRIO hardware with LabVIEW software, the Pitsco TETRIX building system, sensors, and actuators gives students all the building blocks they need to create and automate model assemblies as well as their own designs.
