Structural and Ship Motion Monitoring
SITEM created a structural and ship motion monitoring commercial system certified by the Registro Italiano Navale (RINA) that can detect environmental conditions and the ship’s structural behavior in response to those conditions by using NI CompactRIO and NI LabVIEW to develop a standardized, customizable ship motion monitoring system.
Remote Condition Monitoring for London Underground
London Underground took advantage of the accuracy, reliability and flexibility of NI hardware and software to implement an innovative system to reduce the lost customer hours experienced on the Victoria Line. The system is forecast to reduce lost customer hours by 39,000 per year—an estimated £350,000 savings per year in passenger disbenefit.
Reduce NOx Emissions from Ship Engines
DANSK TEKNOLOGI rapidly developed a low-cost selective catalyst reduction (SCR) system for ship engines to monitor and reduce NOx (nitrogen oxide and nitrogen dioxide) emissions from the Danish naval fleet and fulfill stringent environmental regulations, by using NI CompactRIO and LabVIEW.

Monitoring System to Evaluate Fishing Vessel Performance
META created a performance monitoring system (PeMoS) for commercial fishing vessels to evaluate their energy usage under different operating conditions by combining the benefits of the cRIO-9075 with the NI 9870 and NI 9219 modules to create a rugged, semi-permanent monitoring system and using this hardware to acquire, elaborate, store, and send vessel energy parameters to an FTP server through a dedicated WiFi connection.
